SeamlessMD is excited to announce its official platinum sponsorship of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS®) Cardiac Society.
The ERAS® Cardiac Society is a non-profit organization with the mission to develop evidence-based expert consensus statements promoting best practice recovery practices. Through collaboration, education, and dissemination of knowledge, the ERAS® Cardiac society aims to provide enhanced guidance and educational tools for the reduction of post-operative complications and costs after heart surgery.
The society recently published this JAMA-surgery article outlining their recommendations for an optimal Cardiac ERAS® program. One of the 22 recommended interventions is to use a digital patient engagement platform such as SeamlessMD, to deliver standardized ERAS protocols and to collect ERAS-related Patient-reported Outcomes (PROs) such as pain, opioid consumption, and patient compliance.
Furthermore, SeamlessMD has consistently improved clinical outcomes for cardiac surgery. Cardiac centers using the platform have seen significant reductions in patient length of stay, 30-day readmissions, and costs. For example:

Dr. Daniel Engelman, Medical Director for Baystate's Heart & Vascular Surgical Program, and President of the ERAS® Cardiac International Society has emphasized the impact of SeamlessMD in enhancing cardiac care: “Patient engagement technology like SeamlessMD is a recommended component in the ERAS® Cardiac guidelines. SeamlessMD has empowered our patients to be partners in their own care, leading to better patient experiences and clinical outcomes.”
SeamlessMD’s corporate partnership with the ERAS® Cardiac Society further exemplifies our shared goal to elevate the patient experience and to ensure every patient gets the right care at the right time.
